Upper Zonal Trading Limited (UZTL) was founded in June 1995 in Arusha by David Elikisa Bulengo and continues to operate as a family-owned business to this day.
From its inception, the company’s vision has been to establish a customer-focused and reliable beverage distribution business, dedicated to delivering high-quality products alongside professional service.
Over the years, UZTL has experienced steady growth. Today, in addition to its Arusha headquarters, the company operates through a strong network of partners across Tanzania.
With nearly three decades of experience, Upper Zonal Trading Limited has built solid relationships with both international suppliers and local clients, positioning itself as a trusted and dependable partner within the beverage industry.

Off-Trade Sector

In addition to hospitality clients, UZTL has a well-developed Off-Trade distribution network supplying wholesalers, retailers, and supermarkets across Tanzania.

With operations in Arusha and Dar es Salaam, and distribution partners in cities including Dodoma, Iringa, Mbeya, Mwanza, and Tanga, the company ensures wide product availability throughout the country.

Our retail clients include supermarkets such as Shoppers Supermarket, Village Supermarket, and Massamart, among others.

Social Investment

Upper Zonal Trading Limited believes in contributing positively to the communities in which it operates. Over the years, the company has supported several social initiatives including:

  • Paul Harris Award recognition for contributions to the Rotary Club of Arusha in the fight against polio
